Organic Chemistry Tutor Unit Circle
Organic Chemistry Tutor Unit CircleThe Organic Chemistry Tutor Unit Circle is a very good way to help students understand chemical reactions. It has been used for more than one hundred years to teach chemical properties and reactions. Most of the units focus on the relationship between oxygen and hydrogen ions. Some of them also include non-metal-forming chemical reactions, nitrogen-containing chemical reactions, and many others. The following are the units of the circle is focused on: The Elements and Carbon, The Atomic Hydrogen and Nuclei, the Electric and Magnetic Forces, the Chemical Properties of Materials, The Carbon and Hydrogen Units, and the Oxygen and Water Units. It was developed by Friedrich Joseph Teslas. He combined a certain number of factors to put together the units, including the periodic table of elements, the periodic graphite model, and the points of connection between chemical properties. He came up with the theory that you could create a unit by putting those fa ctors together. He also worked out that there would be an element if it existed already, and then he worked out the units that would make it up into the correct ones.To make things even more complicated, the unit was going to have a table of elements at the top of the circle. He felt that this would make the chemistry much easier for students. The teacher then has to build a list based on the Teslas elements. When he made this list, he had to find the appropriate carbon for each group and start building a triangle and writing down the chemistry from the bottom right to the top left. The unit circle is a two-piece unit that is connected to each other. They are made of silver and thin red cardboard. The two pieces are connected with thin paper tape on one end. These circles can be found at most online shops. There are several sizes that you can choose from.Tutors should use this circle for the class or lab. Students use this unit circle while doing labs. The circle is a good unit to us e for labs because students use it more than books or notes. They get more practice with chemistry while using the circle. This is very useful for chemistry because most students don't have a whole lot of time during their regular classes. One of the advantages of using the circle is that you can compare it to what the students are reading. It is a good way to keep track of what is being studied. In order to get into a class, a student has to give his or her name and address, so you can put the student's name and address in the circle and also go over the professor's name. The students will use the circle to go over the class and talk about what they read. In this way, you can gather information for your class. You can also find this circle and many other units at online shops. The shops are generally found at college stores. They usually have additional online classes. The stores also have software and quizzes for many of the courses that they offer. You can look at the digital pictu res of the circle and get a good idea about how it will work for you.

How online tutoring is cost effective way of taking education
How online tutoring is cost effective way of taking education The internet has brought revolution in the education industry all across the world. Online education and distance learning have gained immense popularity in last few decades. These days, students, parents and tutors prefer home based education instead of traditional learning methods with the reason that it offers affordable, real-time one-to-one tutoring right at home. Online tutoring is available right at home; eliminates the need to travel for students and their parents chauffeuring their kids. It saves both time and money making live coaching far more cost efficient. Live tutoring provide flexibility of timing, content of subjects, quality of the tutoring as distance is never an issue to find tutors anytime, anywhere to take tutoring in any subject. It offers world class education at lower cost without compromising the quality of education. Students with tight financial conditions can register tutoring services that offer discounts for low income students or one who offers shorter one-to-one tutoring sessions. Students who are academically good but seek help and assistance for homework and assignment will reduce the overall cost of personal tutoring. Distance learning and tutoring websites help students whose parents are moving from one country to another to fulfill professional commitments. Such students can continue taking education with the same curriculum and same textbooks residing outside their native country. It reduces the cost of traveling to and fro to native country continuing taking education. Online learning is cost effective solution for adults especially for working professionals. A lot of adults continue to work at their jobs during day time and take classes at night using computers. A large number of students across the world cannot afford the cost of a college education, which is a substantial barrier holding them back from obtaining a college degree. Tutoring online gives only 40% of overall costs in comparison to the traditional college education. Traditional education is critical for rural students as they tend to be economically depressed. The financial difficulties of these students force them to choose between work and school. Lower cost is also one of the factors that naturally fit for students studying in rural areas. Online learning gives better opportunities once they past our school and enter into the working world. Web-based online tutoring platform does not have the huge expense overhead that physical tutoring centers have. For the same reason, it allows tutoring websites to offer lower prices and save your pockets too. Thanks to the online tutoring websites!
FAQs about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
FAQs about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) If you are the parent of a high school student, college is likely on your mindand so is how to pay for it. Many parents are not as informed as they could be about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), says CEO and Co-Founder, Eileen Huntington of Huntington Learning Centers. Most families understand that the FAFSA gives them access to federal student aid in the form of federal grants, work-study and loans, but the financial aid process can still be quite overwhelming, says Huntington. She answers some of the most frequently asked questions about federal aid: What are the requirements to receive financial aid? Students must hold a high school diploma or General Education Development certificate and be enrolled in an eligible program as a regular student seeking a degree or certificate, maintaining satisfactory academic progress. They must be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen with a Social Security Number, not be in default on any federal student loans, not have any convictions for the possession or sale of illegal drugs, and register with the Selective Service System if a male and not currently on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces (more details on all of this at https://fafsa.ed.gov). What do students need to complete the FAFSA? A Social Security Number or Alien Registration Number, federal income tax returns, W-2s, and records of taxed or untaxed income, bank and investment records, and an FSA ID, which parents and students can create at https://fsaid.ed.gov. Do students need to wait until their/their parents taxes are filed to complete the FAFSA? No. For the 2018-2019 school year, students will report their 2016 income information (not 2017). What are the federal student aid deadlines? The FAFSA for the 2018-2019 school year was available on October 1, 2017 and students/parents can apply between then and June 30, 2019 for aid for the 2018-2019 school year. For the 2019-2020 school year, students/parents can apply between October 1, 2018 and June 30, 2020. Are state student aid and college aid deadlines different? Yes, they might be. Check online at https://fafsa.ed.gov/deadlines.htm. In New Jersey, for example, the fall and spring term state aid deadline is September 15, 2018. Each college might have its own financial aid deadline, so students need to contact the colleges theyre interested in attending to find out for sure. Do students need to wait until they are accepted to a college before completing the FAFSA? No. They do have to list at least one college that will receive their FAFSA information, but students can list all schools they are interested ineven if they havent applied or been accepted yet. If they submit the FAFSA and later consider a school that they did not list previously, they can submit a correction to the FAFSA online. Are grades taken into consideration when financial aid is awarded? No. If students want to continue receiving federal student aid, however, they must maintain satisfactory academic progress. This essentially means they must meet a minimum grade-point average and complete a certain number of credits each year. Each school has its own policy, so its a good idea to check with them. What happens after a student submits the FAFSA? The U.S. Department of Education processes the application within 3-10 days, depending on whether the student applied online or not. Then they will receive a copy of a Student Aid Report (SAR), which summarizes the information provided on the FAFSA and includes an Expected Family Contribution. Colleges use this figure to assess eligibility for other federal and nonfederal student aid and creating students award packages (and distributing that aid). These are some of the most common questions about financial aid, but Huntington encourages parents and students to visit the Federal Student Aid website for more information about the FAFSA and federal aid for students: https://fafsa.ed.gov. Do the Classics put teenagers off reading
Do the Classics put teenagers off reading The Education Secretary Nicky Morgan and children's author David Walliams issue a call to publishers and schools to make English pupils Europe's most literate. Education Secretary, Nicky Morgan argued that: Books by Authors including Jane Austen and Charles Dickens should be made available for all pupils to enjoy them. ...If a child fails to learn how to read - the consequences can be nothing short of devastating, holding them back for the rest of their lives. The aim is for every secondary school to have sets of a wide range of classics, to improve reading standard as a Nation and to tackle the 'long tail of underachievement' . So why do teenagers find the Classics boring? There are arguably many reasons that a larger contemporary audience may struggle with older works of literature. Inaccessibility: A lot of teenagers struggle to identify with, for example, the whims of the landed gentry as so well portrayed by Austen and so find the stories a bit inaccessible. The Prose: Factors such as distance from the subject matter, the archaic nature of the vocabulary and the formal structure of the language can be pretty hard going. (Has anyone - other than English undergraduates - ever finished a Dickens novel?) Technology: Today's children's lives don't naturally have space for reading. They grow up with a continuous stream of entertainment - endless TV channels, digital devices and on-demand access. How do we make the Classics interesting? There's no doubt the Classics are great vocabulary boosters (indeed, how would we survive without knowing that 'consumption' also means tuberculosis - that most common of literary killers) and the role they play in illustrating correct grammar is invaluable in the era of the wandering apostrophe. I am absolutely determined to make sure that every child, no matter where they live or what their background, learns to read, to read widely and to read well - giving them the best opportunity to get on in life. The plot can be glacial in pace when compared to today's world of Fast and Furious films and Xbox games in which characters explode long before consumption takes hold of them. So what is a tutor to do to make them engaging and how can a parent entice their teenagers to surrender the iPad and take up the humble paperback? Is it a battle worth fighting? We'd love to know your thoughts!
5 Ways to Study for Your Maths Degree at University
5 Ways to Study for Your Maths Degree at University If you're on a maths degree, you can't just study by just going to lectures and taking notes. Maths at degree level is a subject that requires active involvement both in and out of the lecture hall, and that means: you have to pay attention, you need to take copious notes in lectures, and you have to put in practice hours on your own. The good news is if you're willing, you can do it. Here's 5 ways to study for your maths degree. Take extensive notes in lectures It always pays to take detailed notes from lectures. As a rule of thumb, you shouldn't be taking down every word. Remember, you can always find formulae in your course-books but not the explanations and tips stated by your professor. It's the latter that will help you in exams and with your assignments. If you are bad at note-taking, there are two things you can do. Firstly only note critical points, arguments and themes. Underline or highlight the words and phrases that are important to you. Be ready to be an active solo learner With a Mathematics degree, you are expected to spend a significant amount of time working on your own or in small groups. As a result, you need to factor in a significant amount of time each week for independent work, to help you to retain and understand the material from lectures and work on problems you encounter as you progress. Put in the practice hours Again this is obvious, but many students overlook this when it comes to maths. With a Mathematics degree, you need plenty of practice, as it's not a subject you can memorise from a course-book. You need to understand the logic behind the problems, and this only comes easily with testing your ability and putting in the extra hours outside of lectures. Keep a positive mind-set Maths at university is a lot harder than maths at A-Level, but you can do it. Remember, all maths learning is cumulative, and you already have a wealth of knowledge from GCSE and A-Levels to build on. If you're struggling, consider using a tutor who can help you work through your weaker areas and boost your confidence around working. Create a study group To help consolidate all that you are learning in lectures and on your own, it also pays to create a small study group of like-minded peers. Here you can work on practice questions together, discuss what you have learnt in lectures and boost your weaker areas with input from others. For a Maths Tutor near you, contact us.
?? How To Get Into University (If You Have No GCSEs)
?? How To Get Into University (If You Have No GCSEs) How To Get Into University (If You Have No GCSEs) Did you know that receiving private tuition has a dramatic impact on your ability to get into university for a certain subject? Universities love that despite your lack of GCSEs, you have been proactive in your learning and highlights your drive to excel.Obtaining a solid selection of GCSEs is like having a key that opens countless doors. It can lead to various jobs, apprenticeships, college, sixth form and, of course, university. Each university course will have its own specific set of requirements. Often, universities will specify the minimum grades they expect at GCSE maths and English alongside the more requirements for more advanced qualifications, such as A-levels. Usually, to be eligible to apply, you would need at least a C in both of these subjects.Without the required GCSEs, even if you have the necessary A-Levels, the institutions will likely reject you as a candidate. So, what should you do if you didnât make the grades? And what if you donât have any GCSEs at all?Well donât give up on uni just yet. There are an array of options out there for people without GCSEs. Luckily, it just so happens that weâve got the low-down on them for you. See what the score is below!Functional Skills: The GCSE EquivalentFunctional skills are a great qualification for those that are looking to secure the equivalent of a GCSE grade C in English, mathematics or ICT â" the three most common subjects needed for university entry. Each course provides learners with a broad understanding of the topics and equips them with the skills theyâll need to obtain the GCSE equivalents. To get your GCSE grade C equivalent, youâll need to successfully complete a Level 2 functional skills course. Whatâs great about these courses is that they can usually be completed in a matter of weeks! The way the courses work is simple:Learners go through enrolment, initial assessments and diagnostic assessments. Next, students undertake training, either online or in the classroom, complete practice tests and finally, once theyâre ready, they take their final exams. To help guide them through the process, each student has an assessor that will mark their work along the way and give them feedback to ensure they can achieve the best possible results.Whilst itâs possible to work through the courses yourself, learners who are doing several courses at once in preparation for university could really benefit andhire a private tutor to provide additional support. These tutors can also provide you with additional guidance for university admissions and give you pointers on your transition to higher education. For those students needing to secure those all important English, maths and ICT grades before applying to university, taking Functional Skills could be the perfect option. With such a quick turnaround time it could be exactly what youâre looking for!Whilst Functional Skills can be a great start for more vocational university courses, you should bear in mind that these qualifications are only useful for students who are seeking the equivalent of a C grade. If a student needs an A or B, they would need to look into GCSE retakes instead.Looking Beyond The Traditional:There are many routes into university beyond securing the more established GCSEs and A levels. Of course, every university is different, but providing you choose the course thatâs right for you, thereâs almost always a way to prove youâre capable enough to secure a place. The BTEC OptionWhilst Functional Skills are an alternative to GCSEs, there are a growing number of students also opting to take a BTEC over the more traditional A-levels.Each year, over a million learners take on BTEC courses to acquire some hands-on qualifications. These are far more vocational in nature than A-levels but are still accepted by many top universities. There are over 2,000 BTEC qualifications across the following areas:Applied ScienceArt and DesignBusinessChildcareConstructionEngineeringMediaHealth a nd Social CareHospitalityICTPerforming ArtsPublic ServicesSportTravel and TourismSo, students are not limited in their academic options. These courses will certainly meet the vast majority of university requirements, but they also have the added value of providing students with the vocational knowledge and skills theyâd need to go straight into full-time work.An Educational Shake-UpIf BTECs, Functional Skills and GCSEs werenât enough, the UK government also recently announced that theyâre planning to expand their repertoire of available qualifications to include T-Levels.T-levels: What are they?Described as âthe same quality as A levelsâ, T-levels are an option for 16-19-year-olds hoping to focus on a more technical form of educationThese courses will be developed and implemented over the next 4 years, eventually acting to simplify the manner in which the nation delivers vocational training, providing greater clarity on the value of this type of qualification in comparison to the A-level.Similar to BTEC courses, T-levels will give young people a chance to study across 15 sectors, in subjects ranging from construction to beauty. These courses will replace thousands of others to create a much more transparent job market.Take a look at the list of some of the proposed courses below. They will be released gradually over the next 4 years.Childcare and EducationDigitalConstructionLegal, Finance and AccountingEngineering and ManufacturingHealth and ScienceHair and BeautyAgriculture, Environment and Animal CareBusiness and AdministrationCatering and HospitalityCreative DesignBut will universities accept T-levels as an A level equivalent? Well, as the courses are still being developed, itâs too early to say for sure. What we do know is that so far a number of institutions including Sheffield Hallam, Nottingham trent and Liverpool University have all gone on the record as holding a positive inclination towards the proposed T-levels. And whilst many of the mor e prestigious universities arenât committing to the T-levels just yet, it is likely that with time, the value of the new qualifications will become more obvious. And there you have it, proof that you can get to university without GCSEs! Whatâs more is that with a growing focus on technical skills and experience in the job market, taking the path less-travelled may well give you the competitive edge on your fellow university graduates!Written by Nicole B from The Learning Station. Now that you have read our article about how to get into universities without GCSE's, we think you might find these articles about alternatives to university, and what do to if your child's A-Level results aren't what they hoped!Alternatives To University Your Child Might Not Have Thought AboutHere's How To Help Your Child To Get A Successful CareerHelp! The New Debx App is Taking the Fear out of Credit Cards
The New Debx App is Taking the Fear out of Credit Cards via Pexels.com Essentially, this free app targets college graduates and millennials and pays off their everyday credit card purchases by linking existing credit cards with checking accounts. This means these individuals are using credit cards like a debit card, which means they reap all the benefits (i.e. rewards and credit building) without the insecurity involved in owning a credit card. As a college student, if you havenât already, youâll soon learn the importance of a good credit history. These are important when it comes time to leasing or purchasing a car, renting an apartment or even buying a house. That being said, more and more students are shying away from credit card applications for fear of digging a hole they canât get out of. According to a recent survey mentioned in the press release, 33% of millennials are afraid of credit card debt. This is shocking given the 20% responding their greatest fear was death. And they arenât wrong in this fear. Over $1.02 trillion of debt was reached in 2017, with the average American consumer holding $5,290 in credit card balances. This all being said, credit cards are a necessary evil, especially when it comes to building credit. Plus, there are other perks to consider such as reward points, cashback and protection from theft. According to Ben Psillas, the founder of Debx, âWhen college students graduate, they are often unsure how to build their credit or manage their personal finances, and are maybe even a little intimidated. They leave school with tons of student loans, and they want to avoid getting deeper in debt. But, they need to start building their credit history, and credit cards are one of the best ways to establish that.â The free Debx app allows several options for avoiding the typical, credit card pitfalls. For instance, one big change is the Auto-Pay option, which automatically pays off purchases below a certain amount. In addition, the Shutoff Balance will automatically stop auto-payments when the balance in a userâs checking account is below a set limit. These two tools entirely automate the credit card process, making it rather difficult to find yourself in debt so long as youâre responsible enough to set these amounts accurately in the first place. In this way, they are reaping all the benefits, the points and cashback, without the risk of overspending. Plus, this app is promoting good spending habits, helping you to track your spending in a way thatâs less stressful, but still helpful in terms of learning how to maintain good credit. According to Psillas, âCollege grads should feel confident when using credit, and by letting them stay on top of their balances, avoid debt and reap all the rewards that credit cards have to offer â" while practically on auto-pilot â" Debx will help them build that confidence and feel good about how they spend their money.â So, if this sounds like you and you want to download the app to help build that credit without the hassle, you can download the app from iOS in the iTunes Store for free. (The enrollment process will take you about 90 seconds and the app links with most major credit card lenders.)

Organic Chemistry - Synthesis Problems and Analytical Methods
Organic Chemistry - Synthesis Problems and Analytical MethodsSome individuals are not aware of the importance of synthesis problems in organic chemistry. Synthesis problems occur when there is a malfunction or breakdown of any important step or building block in the chemical process. For example, if an enzyme cannot function properly, then that can affect the rest of the chemical reaction. Therefore, it is essential to be knowledgeable about synthesis problems when working with chemicals. In organic chemistry, two kinds of processes are used. One is an aerobic reaction where oxygen is present in the sample. Another is an anaerobic reaction where an anaerobic system is present. This anaerobic system is the main contributor to the overall synthesis problem. Here, an electron from the anaerobic system is passed through another oxidizing substance, or catalyst, to get it to react with the product. In the aerobic process, oxygen is introduced into the sample and that oxygen picks up an elec tron from the anaerobic system. That electron is now attached to the product solution. This is done by passing an electron through other oxidizing substances. The anaerobic reaction does not use any oxidizing substances, and therefore the electron does not get passed through. A strong possibility exists that the product will end up being in a very poor condition or totally destroyed because of this problem. Therefore, it is very important for synthetic chemists to be aware of these problems. It is an interesting technique that many students learn about in organic chemistry. They are very happy to do organic synthesis problems because it is an easy way to practice the skills that they learned in organic chemistry. Students are also able to use this method as an alternative way to look at the physical properties of their samples. They are able to test different variables in their experiments, without needing to keep running different reactions. This analytical method allows one to know a lot about the properties of the sample. It is a very powerful tool, especially for student when doing experiments in organic chemistry. The first thing to understand when using this analytical method is the fact that no intermediate product is formed. The solution just has to be analyzed after the reaction is complete. This method is very useful when there is a synthesis problem in organic chemistry. Students are taught to use this technique in every lesson they study in organic chemistry, regardless of whether there is a synthesis problem or not. Synthesis problems can be very difficult to solve, but if you know how to use the analytical method, then you will have the upper hand in solving the problem. Just make sure that you are ready to apply the analytical method if a synthesis problem is encountered.
